The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) is an intergovernmental partnership of 105 member governments, 127 international organizations and thousands of dedicated individuals and businesses committed to use of Earth Observation data for sustained and inclusive economic growth. Under the theme of “Earth Observations: Investments in the Digital Economy”, GEO Week 2019 will bring together governments, businesses, the research community, non-profits and other stakeholders to create solutions, share and cooperate in cutting edge areas of the global economy that interact with Earth observations.
In recognition of the key role of the commercial sector in creating the underlying spatial products and services, GEO Week 2019 will include a dedicated, inaugural Industry Track to strengthen, broaden, and deepen GEO’s linkages with industry. The Industry Track will bring together world leading tech, space and spatial companies to connect with the GEO community and discuss how to develop sustainable commercial solutions and products that meet regional, local and global needs.
A suite of events and activities is being organised that will enable organisations participating in the Industry Track to promote their capabilities to a large and diverse audience, network with GEO Ministerial Summit participants, forge partnerships, conclude deals and announce new initiatives.
